Making ANZAC Biscuits

During the last week we have been learning about ANZAC. After reading the book Anzac Biscuits by Phil Cummings the students decided that we would create ANZAC biscuits using our knowledge of Procedures and Measurement.
We began by writing our the Procedure to make the biscuits. Using our writing and the book we were able to follow them in creating scrummy biscuits.
It linked nicely to our Measurement unit in Maths by using different measuring tools: Cups, Tablespoons, grams.

Discussion with the Builder

The last two weeks the builders have been constructing our Playground together again. We had the opportunity for one of these builders to come into our Studio to discuss with us how they put it together again. The students loved being able to ask him different questions! We are very excited to see what the playground will look like when it is all finished!!
